MARVELOUS MONDAY MOMENT
As a child, I remember learning and reciting the poem about HUMPTY DUMPTY..
"Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall. Humpty Dumpty had a great fall. And all the king's horses and all the king's men couldn't put Humpty back together again".
I never knew what Humpty was doing on the wall in the first place nor how or what made him fall, and I didn't understand why no one could fix him after he fell. However, it wasn't until I became older that I realized we can climb up on and sit high on the walls that we build. But then along comes the gale force winds of life, the unbalance of the uncertain, the shove and push of an enemy or the unsteadiness of a self- made unstable and shaky wall and down we fall, BROKEN on the ground.
For the past couple of weeks, I have heard, seen, witnessed, and cried over the brokeness of our nation, friends, families, strangers (I was watching a story on the news that just broke my heart and brought sorrowful tears to my eyes), and those who have had loved ones to pass. But the Lord began to make it clear to me that these people, places and things may be BROKEN but they are not SHATTERED. He reminded me that He is the KING and He has the POWER to put it back together again!
It was then that I understood Humpty Dumpty's dilemma, he only had the feeble help of the king's men. But we have the Mighty hand of the King of kings and the Lord of lords!
